Pubs with Bruce
I've been a beer lover all my life and I love to travel. Combining these is the ultimate experience. As I've traveled, I've immersed myself in the history and folklore of the places I've visited. Join me on my beer journeys. Okay, it's not as good as actually being there, but who knows? You may be inspired to enjoy travels (and beers) of your own.

City of London. Named after the old Roman road on which it stands, this pub was built in 1668 on the site of its predecessor which burnt down in the Great London fire of 1666. It was built by Christopher Wren out of old ship timbers, to house his workers during the reconstruction of nearby St. Paul's Cathedral, with the upstairs rooms used as drawing offices. It was rebuilt in 1901 and after the blitz in 1947. A Nicholson's pub, their Pale Ale was my beer of choice.
