Pubs with Bruce
I've been a beer lover all my life and I love to travel. Combining these is the ultimate experience. As I've traveled, I've immersed myself in the history and folklore of the places I've visited. Join me on my beer journeys. Okay, it's not as good as actually being there, but who knows? You may be inspired to enjoy travels (and beers) of your own.

Bristol. Dating to 1745 and located on the Radcliffe Wharf, it served as a meeting place for sailors, dockworkers, and merchants during the Port of Bristol's maritime era. A portion of the wall has been removed to reveal an entrance to the Redcliffe caves, which were mined for sand to make Bristol Glass and used to hold prisoners of war during the 18th century French and Spanish wars. A Butcombe pub, I chose one of their beers I had not seen before, Bitter Melissa Amber Ale. A bit dark and bitter - hmm?!?! Sitting in the large beer garden out front by the wharf, it was a nice end to the day's crawl.
