Pubs with Bruce
I've been a beer lover all my life and I love to travel. Combining these is the ultimate experience. As I've traveled, I've immersed myself in the history and folklore of the places I've visited. Join me on my beer journeys. Okay, it's not as good as actually being there, but who knows? You may be inspired to enjoy travels (and beers) of your own.

London, Fleet Street. Two dates are given for the original building which was located across the street - 1549 and 1668. The present building dates from 1887 and is famous for having the narrowest pub frontage in London. In 1930 the founding meeting of the Society of Industrial Artists was held at the pub. Other famous patrons include Charles Dickens, Alfred Tennyson, Samuel Pepys, and Doctor Johnson. Sweeney Todd's barber shop was located next door. The interior is long and narrow with bricked wall and leatherette banquettes opposite the bar. Upstairs is Ye Olde Mezzanine. It is a Greene King pub and I enjoyed a Ye Olde Cock Tavern Best Bitter while I had an enjoyable (and spirited) chat with Nick the bartender.
