Pubs with Bruce
I've been a beer lover all my life and I love to travel. Combining these is the ultimate experience. As I've traveled, I've immersed myself in the history and folklore of the places I've visited. Join me on my beer journeys. Okay, it's not as good as actually being there, but who knows? You may be inspired to enjoy travels (and beers) of your own.

Liverpool. The building dates from 1726. It was bought in 1852 by Alderman Thomas Rigby who had come to Liverpool in 1830 and prospered as a wine and spirits dealer and pub owner.
There are three rooms - a nice big public bar, a cozy little parlour, and the lush Nelson Room. There is also a nice courtyard in the rear (rare for downtown Liverpool!) which is shared with the Lady of Mann Pub. Of course I love having a beer outside on a nice day in England! A great choice of beers (nice to be in a Free House not committed to one brewery!). I had several tastes and settled on the Hawks Head Windermere Pale - a nice lightly hopped pale ale. Plus a beer from the beautiful Lake District which I seldom see.
And of course I love to be able to walk down an alley on the way to my next pub!
