Pubs with Bruce
I've been a beer lover all my life and I love to travel. Combining these is the ultimate experience. As I've traveled, I've immersed myself in the history and folklore of the places I've visited. Join me on my beer journeys. Okay, it's not as good as actually being there, but who knows? You may be inspired to enjoy travels (and beers) of your own.

Stratford-Upon-Avon. Dates back to 1599 and is said to be the oldest inn in town. A great old timber framed low ceiling pub. Several small rooms make up a large bar area, with a lounge on the side and a beer garden out back. Near the bar is an interesting framed example of wattle and dawb. This is a building method used for thousands of years to make walls and structures. Small timbers (wattle) form the main support for the mud plaster (dawb) to be applied to. This is a Greene King pub and I believe the Windmill Pale Ale I had is brewed by them (and like the beer I had the Rose and Crown it is one of their better ones!)
