Pubs with Bruce
I've been a beer lover all my life and I love to travel. Combining these is the ultimate experience. As I've traveled, I've immersed myself in the history and folklore of the places I've visited. Join me on my beer journeys. Okay, it's not as good as actually being there, but who knows? You may be inspired to enjoy travels (and beers) of your own.

Bennetts Hill, Birmingham, UK. Built between 1868 and 1870, this building features a beautiful Stucco Italianate front. A beautiful ornate interiors with a large impressively stocked bar. The Wellington is a specialist real ale pub with 15 handpumps. In 2005 they sold 2,610 different real ales, more than any other pub in the UK. They won Birmingham CAMRA's Pub of the Year award in 2005, 2006, and 2008. With so many beers to choose from I asked the bartender to recommend the most local beer. His choice was Piffle Snonker from Froth Blowers Brewery in Birmingham - a tasty English Pale Ale with just a hint of Cascade hops. It has to be my favorite beer and brewery names yet, and with a great motto - lubrication in moderation. My favorite pub in Birmingham (so far!)
