Gloucester. Couldn't really find any definitive history, but this is a funky boozer for sure. Not a lot of space around the central bar, and full of local characters. a couple of nice rooms upstairs, but everybody was hanging around downstairs. So much cool bric-a-brac everywhere - tankards, toby mugs, bar trays, coasters - you could walk around for an hour checking it all out. 17 local ciders in boxes, 4 cask ales and 6 kegs to choose from (plus double gin and tonics for 5 pounds 50p!). I chose the Maiden Voyage Best Bitter from Hop Union Brewery in Bristol - delicious!
