Pubs with Bruce
I've been a beer lover all my life and I love to travel. Combining these is the ultimate experience. As I've traveled, I've immersed myself in the history and folklore of the places I've visited. Join me on my beer journeys. Okay, it's not as good as actually being there, but who knows? You may be inspired to enjoy travels (and beers) of your own.

York. This timber framed and jettied building likely dates from the 16th century and has been licensed under the name The Three Tuns since 1792. During renovations a cache of gold coins was found (some dating back to Charles I), likely hidden by people fleeing from one of York's conquerors. It is a long narrow pub with many separate drinking areas - 2 small snug-like rooms at the front, a long area along the bar, and additional rooms off the side and in the back. I settled into one of the front rooms and enjoyed a Ruby Mild Ale from Rudgate Brewery in York and one of the best BLT's I have ever had - the bacon was so good!
