Pubs with Bruce
I've been a beer lover all my life and I love to travel. Combining these is the ultimate experience. As I've traveled, I've immersed myself in the history and folklore of the places I've visited. Join me on my beer journeys. Okay, it's not as good as actually being there, but who knows? You may be inspired to enjoy travels (and beers) of your own.

City of London. Likely existing as an inn or tavern for centuries before its first documented record in 1721, the current site of the pub was established in 1861 and the current building dates from 1898. Located down the street from Leadenhall Market and quite a bit off the street, it would be very easy to miss this little gem of a pub. The first time I stumbled upon it years ago it was the Art Nouveau lettered sign that caught my eye. The downstairs bar (with a marble top) is a classic long narrow area with a small room at the end, with lots of dark wood and red tinned ceiling. The first floor room is more open but still cozy with lots of mirrors, dark wood (I know, again!), and the red tinned ceiling. Over the years I have always had an enjoyable pint here.
