Pubs with Bruce
I've been a beer lover all my life and I love to travel. Combining these is the ultimate experience. As I've traveled, I've immersed myself in the history and folklore of the places I've visited. Join me on my beer journeys. Okay, it's not as good as actually being there, but who knows? You may be inspired to enjoy travels (and beers) of your own.

Durham. The building dates to 1190 and the pub is believed to be established around 1500, although is it said that the building hosted Henry Tudor (later Henry VIII) in 1485 during the Bosworth campaign against Richard III. It was a haunt for 19th century theatre actors and patrons (hence the name) and is connected to the First Folio, a copy of which was stolen from Durham University's Palace Green in 1998. It has been dubbed Durham's most haunted pub. There is seating around the small front bar, with two rooms in the back. I enjoyed an old favorite - Black Sheep Best Bitter from Masham, North Yorkshire.
