Pubs with Bruce
I've been a beer lover all my life and I love to travel. Combining these is the ultimate experience. As I've traveled, I've immersed myself in the history and folklore of the places I've visited. Join me on my beer journeys. Okay, it's not as good as actually being there, but who knows? You may be inspired to enjoy travels (and beers) of your own.

Manchester. This iconic black and white timber building was built in Chester in 1656 and was known as The Shambles. In 1928 it was dismantled and moved to Manchester. Apparently two ghosts also made the trip. The first is a girl who either accidentally set herself on fire or was raped and killed by a chef. The second is the chef, who was hanged from a beam at the pub (it is said the rope mark on the beam can still be seen). The open spaced interior is from from 1928 but still has an oldish feel. My beer of choice - Mancunian Hoppy Blonde Ale, a gluten free blonde/IPA Hybrid, quite tasty!
