Newton Abbot, Devon. Dates back to 1864 although a woman named Margaret Cose was known to be selling cider here in 1861. It retains its original layout with a saloon bar, a snug with a small bar, and a beer garden in the rear. A nice little pub to spend time in while we waited for our rental car. My beer of choice was Jail Ale, a premium bitter from Dartmoor Brewery in Yelverton - my go to beer in South Devon and I'm sure the first of many I will have over the next three weeks.
