Pubs with Bruce
I've been a beer lover all my life and I love to travel. Combining these is the ultimate experience. As I've traveled, I've immersed myself in the history and folklore of the places I've visited. Join me on my beer journeys. Okay, it's not as good as actually being there, but who knows? You may be inspired to enjoy travels (and beers) of your own.

Evesham, West Midlands. A free house tucked away in the corner of Evesham's market (next to the Spud Man!), this is my favorite pub in town. The building dates to the early 1700s (there are still wattle and daub walls, a 17th century fireplace, and wonky floors, and a "settle"). It was first recorded as a public house in 1728. Unfortunately the timber framing on the front of the building was plastered over during the Georgian period. There is a small 2 sided bar with a large seating area in front and a narrow area to the side, and a snug in the back next to the fireplace (the place to be!) They focus on real ales brewed within 40 miles of the pub. Uley Bitter, Brummie Stout and Pale Brummie (Birmingham Brewing Co.),MoretonMild and Aurora Pale (North Cotswold Brewery), Hop Nouvelle (Teme Valley Brewery), and Hope Series El Dorado and Alora Pale Ale were some of the tasty beers I enjoyed during my stay in the area. Bartender Chantell was lovely, with lots of info about the beers.
