Pubs with Bruce
I've been a beer lover all my life and I love to travel. Combining these is the ultimate experience. As I've traveled, I've immersed myself in the history and folklore of the places I've visited. Join me on my beer journeys. Okay, it's not as good as actually being there, but who knows? You may be inspired to enjoy travels (and beers) of your own.

Newton Abbot, UK. Located adjacent to the Newton Abbot Railway Station, the single room interior features memorabilia of the "age of steam" including paintings, photographs, models, books, and old gas lights (converted to electricity). There is a small covered outdoor seating area out in front of the pub. It was previously home of the Platform 5 brewery which has now moved to Torquay. I was able to enjoy a Bass Ale on tap (always a treat) as I waited for my train to Bristol (I love that most of these pubs next to railway stations now have digital displays of the train schedules located over/near the bar so you know exactly when you need to leave).
