Pubs with Bruce
I've been a beer lover all my life and I love to travel. Combining these is the ultimate experience. As I've traveled, I've immersed myself in the history and folklore of the places I've visited. Join me on my beer journeys. Okay, it's not as good as actually being there, but who knows? You may be inspired to enjoy travels (and beers) of your own.

Cardiff. Part of Cardiff Bay's docks history since 1864, it is one of the few institutions remaining from when this area bustled with international shipping trade. It is named after the packet ships that carried mail to and from British outposts. Apparently there was an unwritten rule that if a sailor was in the venue when the tide was out he would be given free lodging for the night. John Hurt was a frequent visitor while filming Doctor Who.
As it is so close to the docks of course it is decorated in a nautical theme. It has a big beautiful bar and several large spacious rooms. It is an SA Brains pub (my favorite Welsh brewery so lots of delicious beers to choose from.
