Pubs with Bruce
I've been a beer lover all my life and I love to travel. Combining these is the ultimate experience. As I've traveled, I've immersed myself in the history and folklore of the places I've visited. Join me on my beer journeys. Okay, it's not as good as actually being there, but who knows? You may be inspired to enjoy travels (and beers) of your own.

Stratford-Upon-Avon. The Old Thatch became the brewery for Stratford-Upon-Avon in 1470 when it was also a pub. It has been a licensed pub since 1623 and is acknowledged as the oldest pub in Stratford. It is the last remaining thatched roof property in Stratford, and is located across the street from the Shakespeare Memorial fountain and just down the street from his birthplace. The dark wood timbered ceilings are spectacular. The pub is said to be haunted by the spirit of Joseph Pinfield, who was murdered here on Christmas day 1795. It is a Fuller's pub and it was nice to taste both the London Pride and the HSB - both delicious.
