Pubs with Bruce
I've been a beer lover all my life and I love to travel. Combining these is the ultimate experience. As I've traveled, I've immersed myself in the history and folklore of the places I've visited. Join me on my beer journeys. Okay, it's not as good as actually being there, but who knows? You may be inspired to enjoy travels (and beers) of your own.

Bath. This tiny pub (there are many in Bath!) was built in 1716. The name celebrates a tree that stood next to the bowling green which was originally located next to the pub. It had its own brewery in the back that produced beer until the early 20th century, and was a free house until 1928 when it was taken over by the Lamb Brewery. It is now a free house again.
The entrance and the area in front of the bar (which of course is very small) is a narrow walkway. There is a small room in the back and a small lounge in the front. Luckily the locals are very welcoming, since there is so little space available! My beer of choice was an Old Green Tree Ale brewed by Blindman's Brewery in Frome, which is located just south of Bath.
