Pubs with Bruce
I've been a beer lover all my life and I love to travel. Combining these is the ultimate experience. As I've traveled, I've immersed myself in the history and folklore of the places I've visited. Join me on my beer journeys. Okay, it's not as good as actually being there, but who knows? You may be inspired to enjoy travels (and beers) of your own.

Borough, London. Named after Field Marshall Colin Campbell, Lord Clyde, a distinguished Scottish military figure who fought in the Crimean War and the Indian Mutiny. Established in 1863 (the year of Lord Clyde's death) and rebuilt in 1913 by Truman's Brewery, the red/brown brick exterior features a unique faience facade with green and cream earthenware tiles and prominent Truman advertising. The pub's interior boasts red carpeting and bench seating, wood paneling, brass fittings and a beautiful yellow tin ceiling. Service is from the main front bar and a rear bar with a hatch. The Fitzpatrick family has been at the helm for over 70 years, and the bartender was very kind to let me in a few minutes before they opened. I was happy to see Brains SA on tap (my favorite beer from Wales and enjoyed it at a picnic table in front of this beautiful old pub.
