Pubs with Bruce
I've been a beer lover all my life and I love to travel. Combining these is the ultimate experience. As I've traveled, I've immersed myself in the history and folklore of the places I've visited. Join me on my beer journeys. Okay, it's not as good as actually being there, but who knows? You may be inspired to enjoy travels (and beers) of your own.

Oxford. Built around 1650 and originally called the Jericho House, it is located just north of the city gates and served as a refuge for travelers when the gates were closed. The name comes from the parable of the Good Samaritan, and it was rebuilt in 1818. A famous music venue in Oxford, upstairs is a performance space with a capacity of 150. Downstairs are a couple of rooms surrounding the small bar, and there is a large garden at the rear. Another pub that has been featured in the Inspector Morse/Endeavor TV series. I grabbed a pint of Old Peculier from Theakston Brewery (an old favorite from North Yorkshire) and enjoyed the evening in the garden.
