Pubs with Bruce
I've been a beer lover all my life and I love to travel. Combining these is the ultimate experience. As I've traveled, I've immersed myself in the history and folklore of the places I've visited. Join me on my beer journeys. Okay, it's not as good as actually being there, but who knows? You may be inspired to enjoy travels (and beers) of your own.

Bath. Built between 1748 and 1750 by John Wood the Elder, who is known for designing and building some of the finest streets and buildings in Bath. It was originally named the Terrace Walk Wine Vaults. In 1906 it became the Eldridge Pope public house in 1906 and was bought by Fuller, Smith and Turner in 2012. It now features fine dining upstairs in the Elder rooms, named for the afore mentioned John Wood the Elder. It has the oldest shop front in the city.
A large spacious interior features many spacious rooms, and there is a nice seating area in front of the building. Located near the River Avon and the Bath railway station, it is a popular stop for travelers. I enjoyed an Oliver's Island Golden Ale from Fullers which I had not tasted before. Beautifully light gold in color with delicate floral and citrus aromas from Goldings, Hallertau, Tradition, and Liberty hops. A perfect pairing with their tasty buffalo wings.
