Pubs with Bruce
I've been a beer lover all my life and I love to travel. Combining these is the ultimate experience. As I've traveled, I've immersed myself in the history and folklore of the places I've visited. Join me on my beer journeys. Okay, it's not as good as actually being there, but who knows? You may be inspired to enjoy travels (and beers) of your own.

Brighton. Dating from the 1870s, it is reputed to be one of Brighton's smallest pubs and was one of the earliest pubs on the seafront, popularized by fisherman returning from sea. As they were a bit ripe from their voyages, they were served through a hatch rather than be allowed in the pub, therefore the name. It was previously known at the Queensbury Arms, named after the Marquis of Queensbury and was a boxing pub with the walls adorned with lots of boxing memorabilia. There are small rooms in the front and back separated by a small bar. They have 4 real ales, 11 kegs , and 3 ciders to choose from. I had a Hops Don't Lie from Mallinsons Brewery (Huddlesfield), a fruity and tasty New Zealand Pale Ale. A perfect way to end my crawl in Brighton.
