Pubs with Bruce
I've been a beer lover all my life and I love to travel. Combining these is the ultimate experience. As I've traveled, I've immersed myself in the history and folklore of the places I've visited. Join me on my beer journeys. Okay, it's not as good as actually being there, but who knows? You may be inspired to enjoy travels (and beers) of your own.

York. How could I not go here? Formerly known as the Lamb and Lion Inn, the buildings are believed to previously been a house and a shop dating back to 1840, and another building constructed in 1782. It is located next to the Marygate, part of York's famous city walls (we actually saw the pub first during our walk on the walls). There is a small bar in the front room that serves to welcome guests into this spacious Inn. Behind it and many rooms of varying size, including a snug and an even smaller room off of the snug with the name "No Fiff Raff", and in the back is the Secret Garden, a lovely area where you can sit under the trees and umbrellas. I found a nice spot there to enjoy a Badger Beer Ale - was there any other choice??
