Pubs with Bruce
I've been a beer lover all my life and I love to travel. Combining these is the ultimate experience. As I've traveled, I've immersed myself in the history and folklore of the places I've visited. Join me on my beer journeys. Okay, it's not as good as actually being there, but who knows? You may be inspired to enjoy travels (and beers) of your own.

Hanover Street, Liverpool. I could not find much much history available for this pub. Located not far from the Lime Street railway station, it was called the Dewdrop Inn until being reconstructed in 1914. A police report from 1892 stated "this house has been unsatisfactorily conducted during the past year. The police, when visiting, continually find large numbers of prostitutes on the premises". (Did I mention it was close to the train station?).
It has mixed reviews online, but I found it to be a decent old boozer.
One thing I haven't mentioned yet is (generally) how nice and welcoming the bar staff is in the UK. I am (of course!) very inquisitive about the pub and the beers, and it is very rare that the person behind the bar is not helpful and kind. And most have a good knowledge of the beers and breweries. Cheers to them!
