Pubs with Bruce
I've been a beer lover all my life and I love to travel. Combining these is the ultimate experience. As I've traveled, I've immersed myself in the history and folklore of the places I've visited. Join me on my beer journeys. Okay, it's not as good as actually being there, but who knows? You may be inspired to enjoy travels (and beers) of your own.

Soho, London. Built in 1793, it was named the Devonshire Arms and described as "a corner Soho boozer of no particular merit". It closed in 2012 and became a restaurant. It reopened in 2023 as The Devonshire. The huge interior is beautifully decorated - burgundy leather banquettes, wood panels, and gleaming brass. There are 3 snugs located behind the bar but you have to be invited to enter! I did not make the cut. Upstairs there are three dining rooms (there was a long line outside waiting for a table). And the bar was packed - this is obviously a very popular place! Apparently this is Ed Sheeran's favorite pub. I found a place to stand at the bar and enjoyed a Cheshire Cat Golden blonde ale from Weetwood Ales (of course in Cheshire).
