Pubs with Bruce
I've been a beer lover all my life and I love to travel. Combining these is the ultimate experience. As I've traveled, I've immersed myself in the history and folklore of the places I've visited. Join me on my beer journeys. Okay, it's not as good as actually being there, but who knows? You may be inspired to enjoy travels (and beers) of your own.

Brewer Street, London. This lovely little corner pub is located on the site of the Hickford Rooms, which during the first half of the 18th century was the most prestigious music hall in London. In 1765 at the age of nine, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart gave a concert here in front of European Royalty. The concert hall survived until 1934. During WWII it was a popular haunt of US airmen. It is Nicholson's pub and I was happy to find the delicious Tongham Tea Traditional English Ale from Hogs Back Farm Brewery in Sussex on tap. I remember enjoying it a couple of years ago during a pub walk while we were staying in the village of Ashtead. Being near to Oxford Circus and the theatre district, this pub is a nice stop for a pre-show pint.
