Pubs with Bruce
I've been a beer lover all my life and I love to travel. Combining these is the ultimate experience. As I've traveled, I've immersed myself in the history and folklore of the places I've visited. Join me on my beer journeys. Okay, it's not as good as actually being there, but who knows? You may be inspired to enjoy travels (and beers) of your own.

Dartmouth. Dating from 1380 this building is the oldest in Dartmouth and is possibly the oldest town house in the South Hams district of England, and its original use is thought to be as a Merchants House. It still retains many of its original features, including some really great old Tudor ships' timbers (including in the bar front).
A cozy interior features a lovely brick fireplace, decorated by lots of gold medallions (and cherubs) and I love all the old coins attached to the ceiling above the bar. I enjoyed a Thunder Struck Premium Ale from St. Austell Brewery (Cornwall, 1851). A delicious dark ale with notes of dark fruits. And what a great chair I found to relax in.
