Pubs with Bruce
I've been a beer lover all my life and I love to travel. Combining these is the ultimate experience. As I've traveled, I've immersed myself in the history and folklore of the places I've visited. Join me on my beer journeys. Okay, it's not as good as actually being there, but who knows? You may be inspired to enjoy travels (and beers) of your own.

Newcastle upon Tyne. Locating inside of the Central Railway Station, this grand Victorian pub was built in 1839 and was designed by architect John Dobson. The tiles were made by Burmantofts of Leeds and are valued today at over 38 million pounds! The lounge was closed in the 1960s when the British Transport Police used it as holding cells, destroying parts of the structure and painting over the tiles. It was acquired in 2000 and painstakingly restored to its former glory. It also features a beautiful ceiling with ornate crown moulding, and stunning pillars behind the long unique shaped dark wood bar. Unfortunately they serve no cask ales here so I had to settle for a Tetley's Smooth Ale (Leeds).
