Pubs with Bruce
I've been a beer lover all my life and I love to travel. Combining these is the ultimate experience. As I've traveled, I've immersed myself in the history and folklore of the places I've visited. Join me on my beer journeys. Okay, it's not as good as actually being there, but who knows? You may be inspired to enjoy travels (and beers) of your own.

Liverpool. Built in 1887, it was once a Walker's Warrington Ales House. With it's incredibly ornate interior, it is said to have one of the finest displays of Victorian glasswork found in any pub in the country. And a beautiful glass dome inside of the front entrance.
I had walked by this pub several times in my previous visits to Liverpool. Perhaps because it doesn't have Art Nouveau lettering or a clever sign outside. But when I walked inside I was truly stunned by how beautiful it was. Many rooms of all sizes (I chose to sit by the front window) and the semi circular bar - wow! I stood and chatted with the woman at the bar for awhile and I realized (as I have many times in the past!) that a lot of them have been working in these places so long they probably can't imagine what a special place it is for pub lovers like me. The amount of etched glass that surrounds you is unbelievable. And several beers that were new to me. Many from the Lancaster Brewery (I enjoyed the Ernest IPA) and the Glorious English Ale from Bombardier.
Don't bypass this one if you are in Liverpool!
