Pubs with Bruce
I've been a beer lover all my life and I love to travel. Combining these is the ultimate experience. As I've traveled, I've immersed myself in the history and folklore of the places I've visited. Join me on my beer journeys. Okay, it's not as good as actually being there, but who knows? You may be inspired to enjoy travels (and beers) of your own.

Solihull, UK. A very large building with a nice outdoor seating area, it is located on the outskirts of the Solihull town centre. There has been a pub on this site since the mid 1800s with the current building dating back to the 1930s. Originally called the Golden Lion, it has also been named Bar Co, The Town House, and The Lazy Cow over the years. It was renamed The Beech house in 2016. As you can see from the photos the interior has a very spacious contemporary look but still has a comfortable feel. I selected a Seafarers English Ale from George Gale Brewery, brewed by Fuller's in Chiswick. A crisp, light Amber Ale, it was a delightful beer to enjoy on a beautiful sunny day in the West Midlands.
