Pubs with Bruce
I've been a beer lover all my life and I love to travel. Combining these is the ultimate experience. As I've traveled, I've immersed myself in the history and folklore of the places I've visited. Join me on my beer journeys. Okay, it's not as good as actually being there, but who knows? You may be inspired to enjoy travels (and beers) of your own.

Bronneysund, Norway. My last stop on my Norwegian beer adventure, this is more of a restaurant than a pub. But it did give me the opportunity to taste some beers from Badin Bryggeri in Bodo. Established in 2012 by 6 friends who began brewing in their apartment (how I love to hear this!), Skal!these guys are actually brewing some different styles not seen in Norway. I enjoyed all the beers I tasted, with the fruited sour and farmhouse ale especially welcome changes to the (mostly) pilsners I have been drinking for the last week and a half. I understand with the pure arctic water at their disposal and cold fermenting temperatures so easy to achieve that pilsners would be a likely style of beer to brew here. But with the climate dark and cold for most of the year I would expect to see more darkish and warmer beers around. Oh well, next week back to the UK to enjoy real ales! Skal!
