Pubs with Bruce
I've been a beer lover all my life and I love to travel. Combining these is the ultimate experience. As I've traveled, I've immersed myself in the history and folklore of the places I've visited. Join me on my beer journeys. Okay, it's not as good as actually being there, but who knows? You may be inspired to enjoy travels (and beers) of your own.

St. Ives, Cornwall. dates back to 1312 with the current building constructed in the 17th or 18th century. Situated on the harbour front, separated from the sea by a cobbled forecourt and a small lane, its history has been intertwined with the fishing and maritime life of St. Ives (and pirates!). And of course it claims to have a resident ghost. It gained prominence as a gathering place for Victorian artists, including Louis Grier, whose paintings were displayed here. The building is made of granite rubble with a tarred plinth and a slate roof. The tiny interior features a small bar and low beamed ceilings. There is a spacious outdoor seating with views of the seafront. I had two beers from St. Ives Brewery - The Sloop Inn 1312 Amber Ale and Meor IPA.
