Pubs with Bruce
I've been a beer lover all my life and I love to travel. Combining these is the ultimate experience. As I've traveled, I've immersed myself in the history and folklore of the places I've visited. Join me on my beer journeys. Okay, it's not as good as actually being there, but who knows? You may be inspired to enjoy travels (and beers) of your own.

Barry, Wales. Opened in 2009 the building was once a bank and still contains the original vault. It is named after Sir Samuel Romilly, who was well known for reforming criminal law, reducing many trivial offences such as pickpocketing, that were subject to capital punishment. He was also the the solicitor general. In 1812 he purchased the Barry and Porthkerry estates, comprising 1,950 acres that now is modern Barry.
A big beautiful interior and 2 outside seating areas. It is a Wetherspoon pub so there were beers from several breweries on tap. I chose the Export from the Rhymney Brewery, the only time I saw a beer from this brewery while I was in Wales. Quite tasty!
