Pubs with Bruce
I've been a beer lover all my life and I love to travel. Combining these is the ultimate experience. As I've traveled, I've immersed myself in the history and folklore of the places I've visited. Join me on my beer journeys. Okay, it's not as good as actually being there, but who knows? You may be inspired to enjoy travels (and beers) of your own.

Rainhill, Merseyside. This pub is located about 1 mile outside of Rainhill right around the corner from the Manor Farm. It was built in the 19th century on the stagecoach route from Liverpool to Manchester by coaching businessman Bartholomew Bretherton who moved his business from Liverpool to Rainhill in 1807. It now has the appearance of a 1930s suburban roadhouse. It is a spacious place with several seating areas, a couple of fireplaces and a contemporary looking bar. As it was a sunny British afternoon I was drawn to the lovely beer garden out back, complete with a nice drinking booth. I enjoyed a tasty Black Sheep Best Bitter (Masham, North Yorkshire) while I soaked up some rays.
