Manchester. One of Manchester's oldest pubs, it opened in the 1700s and was officially licensed in 1730 (although the sign on the pub says established in 1873?). The pub has a dramatic exterior with bevelled and engraved glass windows. The interior features a beautiful rounded dark wood bar circled by a checkered floor and a red tin ceiling. Lots of space surrounds the bar and there is a restaurant upstairs. From the seven hand pumps I chose the Eternal Session IPA from Northern Monk Brewery in Manchester.
