Pubs with Bruce
I've been a beer lover all my life and I love to travel. Combining these is the ultimate experience. As I've traveled, I've immersed myself in the history and folklore of the places I've visited. Join me on my beer journeys. Okay, it's not as good as actually being there, but who knows? You may be inspired to enjoy travels (and beers) of your own.

Tromso, Norway. This pub has been in operation in various locations since 1972. It is Norway's most famous pub thanks to the fact that one of Norway's most popular weekly talk shows, Du Skal Hore Mye (You Will Hear a Lot) was broadcast from here between 1987 and 2003. Rough planked walls and hand hewn beams create a rustic atmosphere. Reminiscent of a Norwegian fisherman's cottage, it is a cozy place to try beers from Mack Brewing, the world's northernmost brewery. Isbjorn Pilsner (Mack's best selling beer) and Gullmack (a high alcohol pilsner) are brewed with cold, pure arctic water and were crisp and smooth. Definitely worth the treacherous trek over some very slippery icy roads and walkways. Skal!
