Pubs with Bruce
I've been a beer lover all my life and I love to travel. Combining these is the ultimate experience. As I've traveled, I've immersed myself in the history and folklore of the places I've visited. Join me on my beer journeys. Okay, it's not as good as actually being there, but who knows? You may be inspired to enjoy travels (and beers) of your own.

Fitzrovia, London. Licensed in 1730 as the Sun and rebuilt as an elaborate Art Nouveau Gothic style building in 1897 by Treadwell and Martin. Unfortunately in the 1980s the pub was renamed the Presley, decorated with images of Elvis Presley, the ceiling was lowered and the Victorian interior destroyed. In 1993 litigation led to the restoration of many original features. Karl Marx was known to frequent the pub in the 1850s and it is mentioned in T.S. Elliot's letters, specifically in relation to a character named Grizabella. A Greene King pub, London Glory was my beer of choice.
