Pubs with Bruce
I've been a beer lover all my life and I love to travel. Combining these is the ultimate experience. As I've traveled, I've immersed myself in the history and folklore of the places I've visited. Join me on my beer journeys. Okay, it's not as good as actually being there, but who knows? You may be inspired to enjoy travels (and beers) of your own.

Oxford. A back street local near the Oxford Canal, the pub was built in 1869 and was known as the Printer's Devil (an apprentice at the nearby university press), then acquired in 1881 by Morrell's Brewery in whose hands it remained for over a century. The pub was featured in the first episode of the Inspector Morse TV series. There are three rooms surrounding the bar, all decorated with an eclectic mix of furniture and bric-a-brac (I especially loved the music room). My beer of choice was the Bookies Best Bitter brewed by Greene King.
