Pubs with Bruce
I've been a beer lover all my life and I love to travel. Combining these is the ultimate experience. As I've traveled, I've immersed myself in the history and folklore of the places I've visited. Join me on my beer journeys. Okay, it's not as good as actually being there, but who knows? You may be inspired to enjoy travels (and beers) of your own.

Swansea, Wales. Established in 1690 it is regarded as one of Swansea's oldest pubs. The wine cellars date back to the 1400s and in 1930 were featured as the wine vaults in the Dylan Thomas short story "The Followers". Formerly known as Munday's Wine Merchants, the name No Sign originated with the legislation of licensing. It became a legal requirement for each pub to have a recognizable sign. As the building was a bar and not a public house it had not been allocated a sign so it was officially presented with the title No Sign. In the 1930s it became a significant Bohemian hotspot with its most famous patron the afore mentioned poet and beloved scoundrel Dylan Thomas. He and his creative contemporaries became known as "The Kardamah Gang" and frequently revelled at the No Sign.
