Pubs with Bruce
I've been a beer lover all my life and I love to travel. Combining these is the ultimate experience. As I've traveled, I've immersed myself in the history and folklore of the places I've visited. Join me on my beer journeys. Okay, it's not as good as actually being there, but who knows? You may be inspired to enjoy travels (and beers) of your own.

Fitzrovia, London. The building dates from 1730, and it became a pub in 1860. Before that it housed a candle maker, blacksmith, picture framer and a brothel (hence the woman in the window). Yet another pub that Dylan Thomas was known to visit, as was Winston Churchill. George Orwell was a frequent patron and used it as inspiration for the "Proles Arms" in his dystopian novel "1984". There is seating around the bar on the ground floor, and upstairs are 2 rooms filled with cushy chairs and couches. Although it is Truman's pub it is more of a free house and features beers from Jeremy Clarkson's Hawkstone Brewery.
