Pubs with Bruce
I've been a beer lover all my life and I love to travel. Combining these is the ultimate experience. As I've traveled, I've immersed myself in the history and folklore of the places I've visited. Join me on my beer journeys. Okay, it's not as good as actually being there, but who knows? You may be inspired to enjoy travels (and beers) of your own.

Alta, Norway. One of only a couple of pubs in town, and the only one open when I was in port. After checking out the Northern Lights Cathedral (kind of like something from The Day the Earth Stood Still, complete with a Gort-like Christ!) I took a slow slippery walk and popped in for a quick pint before returning to the ship. A nice spacious contemporary pub, I wished I could have sat in the tent-like structure outdoors (heated!) but alas it was full. I enjoyed a Isbjorn Pilsner from Mack Brewing (see previous posts) and then slipped and slid my way back to the port.
