Pubs with Bruce
I've been a beer lover all my life and I love to travel. Combining these is the ultimate experience. As I've traveled, I've immersed myself in the history and folklore of the places I've visited. Join me on my beer journeys. Okay, it's not as good as actually being there, but who knows? You may be inspired to enjoy travels (and beers) of your own.

Glasgow. There has been a licensed premises on this site since 1861 and was originally known as the Clan Vaults. It was renamed MacSorley's in 1899. Entering the flatiron shaped building you see a beautiful half moon mahogany bar, an ornate embossed gold ceiling and etched windows. Lots of space around the bar and many separated small booth areas. Famous as a music venue with bands performing six nights a week. I enjoyed 2 delicious Scottish beers - Belhaven Best (located in Dunbar and brewing since 1719) which won a bronze medal at the 2024 World Beer Awards, and Maltsmiths IPA (also brewed at the Belhaven Brewery in Dunbar). And it's not every day you get to drink with men in kilts!
