Pubs with Bruce
I've been a beer lover all my life and I love to travel. Combining these is the ultimate experience. As I've traveled, I've immersed myself in the history and folklore of the places I've visited. Join me on my beer journeys. Okay, it's not as good as actually being there, but who knows? You may be inspired to enjoy travels (and beers) of your own.

Bristol. Built in 1660 and refurbished in 1865 (the bar back may be the oldest surviving in the country). The long narrow building plot no doubt reflects a medieval site. Most of the rear part of the bar contains the delightful "Tramcar Bar", a snug shaped like an old Tramcar. It features gas lamps and a gas flame cigar lighter, and collectively has one of the finest collection of old pub fittings in the UK. It is the only pub in Bristol on the CAMRA Inventory of important historic pub interiors. I settled in the Trambar and enjoyed a pint of Newbarns (Leith, Edinburgh) 60 Shilling - a take on a classic Scottish style ale.
