Pubs with Bruce
I've been a beer lover all my life and I love to travel. Combining these is the ultimate experience. As I've traveled, I've immersed myself in the history and folklore of the places I've visited. Join me on my beer journeys. Okay, it's not as good as actually being there, but who knows? You may be inspired to enjoy travels (and beers) of your own.

York. Dates back to 1503 and is known as one of the most haunted pubs in England. It was originally a medieval inn and coaching house owned by the Merchant Adventurers Hall. Some of the many ghosts include: Lady Alice Peckett, the wife of Lord John Peckett, the Lord Mayor of York around 1702; Geoff Monroe, a Canadian airman who died in 1945 and is said to appear in full uniform; a young Victorian boy who was trampled in front of the pub; Roman soldiers who are seen marching in armor; One-eyed Jack; and a grumpy old man. There is a small room at the entrance, a large room in the back with a larger bar, and an outdoor seating area behind the pub. My beer of choice was Calmer Chameleon Pale Ale from Brew York, a delicious hoppy ale.
