Pubs with Bruce
I've been a beer lover all my life and I love to travel. Combining these is the ultimate experience. As I've traveled, I've immersed myself in the history and folklore of the places I've visited. Join me on my beer journeys. Okay, it's not as good as actually being there, but who knows? You may be inspired to enjoy travels (and beers) of your own.

Edinburgh. Established in 1680 with the cellar dating back to 1590. In 1964 the pub was renovated and renamed after ensign Charles Ewart, a soldier in the Royal Scots Greys who single handedly captured the French Imperial Standard at the Battle of Waterloo in 1815. His remains were unearthed from an unmarked grave in the 1938 and reburied on the Esplanade of Edinburgh Castle. The pub features a military theme with a large painting of the Battle of Waterloo and other Scottish memorabilia. It has dark wood ceiling beams , a small bar and two cozy rooms. The house beer is Ewart's Gold, a golden Ale brewed by Stewart Brewing. Also over 250 whiskies to choose from! I love a small intimate pub and this one definitely fits the bill.
