Pubs with Bruce
I've been a beer lover all my life and I love to travel. Combining these is the ultimate experience. As I've traveled, I've immersed myself in the history and folklore of the places I've visited. Join me on my beer journeys. Okay, it's not as good as actually being there, but who knows? You may be inspired to enjoy travels (and beers) of your own.

Cardiff. A coaching inn dating from the 17th century, it was established as a pub in 1882. Originally the Black Horse, it was renamed in honour of the Iron Duke who once stayed in the inn while on the way to Carmarthen. He was called the Iron Duke because he had to install iron bars on the ground floor windows at Apsley House to stop bricks from breaking them. There is a Roman well in the lounge that is still functional.
Another beautiful brick building. Lots of space inside and it was a good thing - it was mid afternoon and the pub was packed! I think I got the last open seat - next to the stairs going to the gents room. Another SA Brains pub so I was a happy boy!
