Pubs with Bruce
I've been a beer lover all my life and I love to travel. Combining these is the ultimate experience. As I've traveled, I've immersed myself in the history and folklore of the places I've visited. Join me on my beer journeys. Okay, it's not as good as actually being there, but who knows? You may be inspired to enjoy travels (and beers) of your own.

Glasgow. Built in 1924 by Andrew Balfour, an American style architect, it was originally a bank building. The pub's name is said to come from travelling showmen who would tour the country with monkeys that played drums. I was named CAMRA Pub of the Year in 2011 and is a regular feature in the Good Beer Guide. The spacious interior features a beautiful key shaped bar surrounded by ornate corniced ceilings, wood paneling, and marble columns. Of course after grabbing a pint of Stewart's 80/- Classic Scottish Heavy (Edinburgh) I headed back to the cozy Singerie's Snug (you know how I love a snug!). And the night before we left Glasgow, Bethany and I enjoyed a couple of delicious Islay single malts back there.
