Pubs with Bruce
I've been a beer lover all my life and I love to travel. Combining these is the ultimate experience. As I've traveled, I've immersed myself in the history and folklore of the places I've visited. Join me on my beer journeys. Okay, it's not as good as actually being there, but who knows? You may be inspired to enjoy travels (and beers) of your own.

Preston (Friargate), Lancashire. This pub dates back to 1774 and was originally The Old Dog and Partridge. It has long been known as "Preston's No. 1 Rock Bar". True to its name there were eight dogs (but no partridge!) relaxing in the pub (including six shiatzus - Charlie, Jesse, Luna, Coco, Alfie and Dexter.) A pub with a really nice relaxed feel. The lady behind the bar and the patrons were so cool and welcoming to me. I ended up back in the beer garden (with a couple and their pitbull) enjoying a Wainwright Gold, which is brewed in the beautiful Lake District (a highly recommended destination!). It was inspired by Lakeland fell-walker Alfred Wainwright.
