Pubs with Bruce
I've been a beer lover all my life and I love to travel. Combining these is the ultimate experience. As I've traveled, I've immersed myself in the history and folklore of the places I've visited. Join me on my beer journeys. Okay, it's not as good as actually being there, but who knows? You may be inspired to enjoy travels (and beers) of your own.

Liverpool. Dates back to 1901 when it was built to house Pearl Insurance and is known for it's elaborately tiled interior. It is named after William Henry Duncan, the UK's first Medical Health Officer, and it features an authentic Victorian pharmacy cabinet. It was once known as The Earl of St. John, with a nightclub called Rockford's in the basement. During WWI it served as a Navy recruitment base. The day I was there Liverpool vs. Arsenal was on, and the bar was crazy with fans. I grabbed a Best Bitter from Beartown Brewery in Congleton, Cheshire, and joined in the madness. Go Reds!
