Pubs with Bruce
I've been a beer lover all my life and I love to travel. Combining these is the ultimate experience. As I've traveled, I've immersed myself in the history and folklore of the places I've visited. Join me on my beer journeys. Okay, it's not as good as actually being there, but who knows? You may be inspired to enjoy travels (and beers) of your own.

Manchester. There are records of a building being at this location since 1734, at one time serving as a courthouse. A pub opened in 1800 in a Gothic style with traceried windows and was known as the Iron Dish and Cob of Coal. It has a distinctive ceiling with stone columns that used to hold chandeliers. The snug area has mahogany paneling that is said to have come from British rigid airships R100 and R101. In 2019 it was named Central Manchester CAMRA's Pub of the Year. They have 8 real ales and 20 keg lines. After several tastes I chose the Northern Roots Best Bitter from Green Arches Brewery in Manchester.
