Pubs with Bruce
I've been a beer lover all my life and I love to travel. Combining these is the ultimate experience. As I've traveled, I've immersed myself in the history and folklore of the places I've visited. Join me on my beer journeys. Okay, it's not as good as actually being there, but who knows? You may be inspired to enjoy travels (and beers) of your own.

Manchester. Originally opened as The Crown and Scepter in 1776, although records show that a dwelling has been on this site since the 1400s. Over the years it was known as The Crown and Anchor and The Clock Face before being named the Castle Hotel in the late 19th century. CAMRA considers it to have an "interior of exceptional national importance". The pub's bar front displays beautiful tile work and there are many nice sized rooms going to the back of the long narrow interior, including a music venue. In the room immediately behind the bar there are still push buttons and a small hatch used to deliver drinks. It is a Robinsons pub and after tasting 2 of their offerings I chose the Dizzy Blonde Pale Ale, a tasty beer made with Amarillo and Cascade hops
